Is It True That Love Kills Friendship, Or Can It Make One Stronger?

There once was this boy named Jackson and this girl named Julie who grew up on the same street. They met when they were riding the bus on the way to their first day of school, and after that they became the best of friends. They did everything together watched movies, rode bikes, ate ice cream, and caused trouble. When you saw Jackson, you saw Julie right next to him. They stayed best friends all throughout middle school.
Then, in the middle of their ninth grade year, Julie got her first boyfriend. That was when Jackson realized that he had feelings for Julie, and that he might even love her. How could he tell her? What if Julie didn’t feel the same way? What if she refused to be his friend? His mind raced with questions. He Had heard that love kills friendship, so he didn’t know what to do. The only thing he knew was that he had to say something because he couldn’t stand being just Julie’s friend.
Jackson asked Julie to come over to his house that night. He told her everything that was on his mind. Once Jackson was finished, Julie looked into his eyes and told him that she loved him even more. Ever since that night, they have been inseparable.

There once was a boy named Nathan and a lovely little girl named Sarah who met in sixth grade. They met and became best friends. One night after a bad brake up in high school Sarah went over to Nathan’s house. She was heartbroken over her latest relationship and needed a shoulder to cry on. When she was talking to Nathan, she told him that she loved him. Nathan thought about this. He had been best friends with Sally, and she had been a perfect example of when love kills friendship. So, he told her that he loved her very much, as a sister, and didn’t want to loose her by trying to date. Things became awkward between Nathan and Sarah. They may have stayed friends, but Nathan did lose her on the inside.

There once was a girl named Sally, who grew up next door to a boy named Troy. Sally was five and Troy was seven. Sally’s parents made her go over to his house, and Troy’s parents made him play with her. As they got older, they because the best of friends.
One late night, the summer of their sophomore year of high school, they were watching a movie at Troy’s house and Sally kissed him. She pulled away as soon as it happened and apologized, because she had seen so many shows that showed her that love kills friendship. Then, Troy kissed her back. They were much in love. About five months after word, Sally became very hard to get a hold of. Troy was starting to worry, because he really loved Sally with all his heart.
Then one day Sally called Troy and told him that they needed to talk. She apologized for being hard to reach lately, it’s just that she had something to talk to him about and couldn’t figure out how to say it. Troy was so nervous, scared, and worried all at the same time. Sally told him that she loved someone else, but she still wanted to be friends. Troy was heart broken.
They tried to stay friends, but Troy was unsatisfied. He couldn’t stay just friends because he would always want more. So on Troy’s senior year, he announced that he was going to college in Europe. He had to escape.

Telling your best friend you love them is like playing Russian Roulette with a loaded gun. You could get lucky like Jackson and Julie, you could get hurt like Nathan and Sarah, or you could die like Sally and Troy’s friendship did. Some people say that love kills friendship, but as you can see, that isn’t always true. It’s because of people like Jackson and Julie, that we have hope.

So Play safe :D

You Would Be What Your Destiny Is…

Purpose & Destiny

I really tried hard to get there and after a next few moments I thought ‘Everything was in vain…’

Are we really sure of what we are doing…

All that effort and that one wrong move takes you away from Ground Zero, away from your objectives. And that’s the time “WORTHLESS” takes a gigantic appearance and spins around you like a hurricane. Put yourself in this situation… you should relate to what I am trying to feel here.

I know there is a lot more involved in the things we do and more than anything it’s the whole hearted investment involved which on a breakdown makes you feel… like what I said “WORTHLESS”

-But ask yourself… was that really the case…

Is that really so or is it that I am being negative about living.

Talking about Destiny… What has to happen will happen no matter what you do and what you give in… Hmmmm? Sounds like bull crap, specially when you are going through that feeling.

Now lets be audience than the victim… your buddies must have gone through the same Low Life Traumatics and they must have spoken to you… what did you tell ‘em… Yea the same old lesson what we thought was bull crap…

Doesn’t that give a sign. If we can tell someone, why cant we know it ourselves when we are in a parallel situation.

Our mind builds an aura an atmosphere of whatever mood we are in. Sometimes we get connected to people who are in the same force field or you might find people ignorant and not give a damn of what you think and may just step away. Its really not the case that they suck… but its about the Mind conflict between different moods and they just don’t want to be what you are in… like in discomfort.

Think of the virtual games… or think of Indian films… a low life chap has a very acute chance of getting along with a vibrant hottie next door… Example “Koi Mil Gaya”…

You may break, bend, your failure, your achievements, you resent, you love you breath or die, everything is happening for something that is near to come – Purpose.

Your mere existence in this life is having a purpose. Who knows what happens in the larger than life like movies AVATAR or 2012 or any southern movies are also happening because there is an idea attached. You might see the Avatars walking next to you may be 10 years down the line… and I don’t deny this. EKDUM 100%

I feel everything happens because GOD really does not have time to give you that special attention… not that you are not worth it :P but he has really got better and critical severities to handle… but what he does is… he sends you a medium… someone who can communicate this message to you in some form or the other and again once the purpose ends the person leaves may be away or forever or if worth it… might just stay back…

Your determination will make you strong and deeds will lead to destiny.

So the next time you think something is going wrong… Believe… there is something in the box for you and no matter how much you strive hard to get there… you will only reach where your DESTINY will take you. Do Good and Feel Good.

What they got that we ain’t got…

What they got that we ain’t got…

“Is there really something that Regional Films and Theatres are missing on, as compared to Indian Film Industry”
Yes! It seems to me that there is an extreme competition between Regional Films and Indian Film Industry what is well known as “Bollywood”.

Bollywood: The biggest ENTERTAINMENT Industry in the world… but not anymore after what AVATAR has done :) I believe on an average we have at least 8-10 visitors everyday in Mumbai with a dream to stand next to SRK and AB and his Baby for a quick flick and In matter of an hour a prepaid turns to postpaid… gosh...”Bollywood makeover”…to a tremendous extent!!

Hmm… not many regional movies have reached there… why bhai ???
Yea… bollywood hasn’t either…
Take a step back… Slumdog Millionaire??? That’s not an Indian Film Industry product… That’s technically a foreign Movie, isn’t it... yes but a lot of Indian stars in it, about whom we never heard of, in our god damn lives ever, Anil Bhai an exception…(I just love this guy :)…
But Hang on… Have heard of Mr. Nilu Phule… We know him by some old hindi voiceovers in the hip hop and funny remixes… don’t even remember the songs :P
Mr. Ashok Saraf… Yes of course we know him… the famous Hum Paanch father of Fantastic Five and not to forget the side comic actor and his Punch Lines, example :
Boss says : Get Out!! ;(
Ashok Saraf (After his boss leaves): "Iss aadmi ka ek acchaa hai… Get out bolta hai aur khud chala jata hai."
But have you heard about any of his serious roles that he has played in his 90 odd movies or 20000 odd stage shows.. Naaah (eg. Adhaantar). Bet you haven’t seen, not even heard of it.

Have you heard of Shri Ram Lagoo… Sir. Shri Ram Lagoo… yea just missed the Oscar Doors.

Alright… lets talk the other way... All famous actors like Aamir, Salman, SRK, Priyanka, Kareena, Aishwarya.R.Bachhan & Abhishek.A.Bacchhan, Sir Amitabh.H.Bacchhan. Which Stage show they have performed that you know of…
Southern, Western, Eastern or Northern regional films and shows are some how I feel getting sidelined… aren’t they.
Wana know how, spend 2 hours in Deenanath Natya Mandir, Vile Parle or any Drama Theatres and you will know what I am talking about.
I realize that Stage shows and Drama theatres the toughest form of Acting is not everyone’s cup of team.
Its really so unacceptable for me that these great actors do not get the much deserved appreciation and encouragement which the 120 take actors get.

Really…“Bollywood blooms while Regionals Droop”

Mumbai- The Ultimate Megacity...

Mumbai- The Ultimate Megacity that ran so well…

A 0610hrs Borivali to Churchgate local train, 60 million gallons of enthusiasm and 6 bottles of Gatorade made my Sunday in South Mumbai when I saw Mumbai running yet again.
My second year capturing Mumbai Marathon… Some ran for a Cause and some ran just like that. But hats off to all who participated.
Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon has been the most awaited event every year and last Sunday (17th Jan ‘10) was some day!

A lot of Blues (TCS) and the high spirited Yellows (Senior Citizens) were phenomenal. Tons of cameras flashing at the Road Runners lit the roads and the reverberations of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” were hair raising… I could do nothing but clap and yell… Truly amazing!!

**The real good highlighters were the TCS band playing real loud.

What left me nostalgic even more were the 10 million typhoonic mind blowing Canons and lenses flashing a billions of photographs in 1 Second… I wish I could achieve an aperture like this... damnnn!!

I have shared a few photographs on my facebook account, do let me know what you think of `em.
And for all who missed this event… don’t you dare miss the 2011 Mumbai Marathon.

Do I know myself...

Do I know myself...?
Reminds me of my junior school essay assignment “MYSELF” and that’s the last time I had really written something about ‘myself’ so artlessly. I was small then and even the world for me was so limited, so much in an egg shell but full of vivid and childlike frills. As I type, I asked myself, was that the last time I had really written something about myself? I don’t think I really got the opportunity. Of course, a couple of Job Interviews and not to forget the vibrant socio-sites where we write the “About Me” section.
But folks, I really ain’t that good… am I?
This question for me is as tough as an interviewer asking you “What are your weaknesses?”

I would say someone who has spent a considerable time with the other will know what he or she is like. I don’t know what 1st or 2nd or 3rd impression is all about. And it is obvious for all of us to agree that things do change with time to whatever extent.

I think blogging reconnects and good way to know about our ideas, so here I start something that is really new to me.

I would be sharing my experiences and would like to know from my folks about what they think of my ideas that I would express through this blog.
Also, I would be posting places I have been to and upcoming adventure and leisure outings that we all can involve ourselves in, in this space.

Eager to kick this off and yes…
HAPPY HEALTHY & WEALTHY 2010 !!
